First time with a Drummer

No, not sex, But Close!  Rick and I were joined this afternoon by our good friend and drummer Michael Parker for a fund-raiser performance in Oro Valley, AZ.  Considering that we had never played before as a trio, it went fairly well, except when yours truly forgot some of his own lyrics.  (I recovered sufficiently)  I think that with a couple rehearsals next week, by the time the Festival performance time arrives, we’ll be well prepared to put on a good show.  We hope to have Sarah Danielle join us to provide some harmony vocals.  She’s working out her parts using the CD.  This should be fun.

We played only for about 40 minutes since the event was late getting started.  It was good to see some old friends arrive, particularly the Farahi sisters.  Bahia, you looked great!  And Farah, you are as effervescent as ever.

And thanks Brian Taraz for the memorable affection you conveyed, you sharp-dressed man, you.
