Home from Tucson Folk Festival – VLOG #2!

We had a marvelous weekend at the 26th Annual Tucson Folk Festival.  Here’s Video Web Log Number Two!

I hope you enjoy these morning visits!

There’s been a ot of banter lately about the demise of Osama Bin Laden.  I have a couple thoughts to offer:

Prov 24.17, “Do not gloat when your enemy falls; when they stumble, do not let your heart rejoice”; Ezek 18.32, “I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, says the Lord”; Ezek 33.11, “I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked.”

“Beware lest ye offend the feelings of anyone, or sadden the heart of any person, or move the tongue in reproach of and finding fault with anybody, whether he is friend or stranger, believer or enemy. Pray in behalf of all and entreat God for forgiveness and bounty for all.” (Abdu’l-Baha)

Now with that said, I cannot keep myself from smiling. Sorry, it’s not his demise that has me pleased so much as it is the opportunity for the world’s image of Islam to change from a crazed violent zealot seeking to terrorise, to the throngs of young Muslims in places like Egypt and Tunisia, and Syria, demanding to have a voice in their own governance and be free. Hallelujah!

But I must admit, I kind of hope ol’ OBL has just discovered it’s actually “72-year-old virgins” – and mostly men at that. hahahahaha!!!
